A meeting in the prison

Early in the morning we went shopping for 1,000 people and then hurried to the prison. Unexpectedly we were allowed a look in the kitchens. The meeting was in the courtyard of the prison so that everyone could hear it. Marien brought a word, Dimitri and Jeroen gave their testimonies and Donné closed. Several young men gave their hearts to the Lord. After the meeting there was a shared meal. We were also allowed to go and see the director, and we were able to pray for him. He is very pleased with the work we do in the prison as a foundation and said we are always welcome for various activities. It was a special experience for everyone.

In the evening to La Romana, where we taught a group of the prison's chaplains. We gave practical teaching, which was put into practice straight away. Sabala had come along too and closed with prayer. Tired but content, we went back to where we were staying in San Pedro.
