Eighth day
Our interpreter joined our morning prayer for the first time. This is a big breakthrough for him, because before he would sometimes leave during moments of prayer in the services or at other times. Now he is more involved, and we sense that he is being led more and more by the Spirit. After praying and receiving impressions and Bible verses, we were walking down the corridor when someone said: "Prabha is coming to the islands from Chennai today." Not a minute later we met her in the corridor, and it was a great joy to meet our wonderful sister in the Lord again. We gave her a big hug and were all delighted that she had come and would be with us for the next two days.
During breakfast a few of the others discovered that one of the team members was troubled by a spirit of rebellion, a mocking spirit and accident-proneness. This was addressed and broken, and after that he had no more trouble with it.
We left for a small church in a beautiful, charming little village. In this church Marien and Noël felt it on their hearts to lead worship and worship God with all our heart, soul and mind. Noël's hands began to burn; Marien saw this in the spirit and asked whether he would lay hands on everyone to share the fire of the Spirit. Great power went out from it, and God poured out different kinds of fire.
After this Soraya went round washing everyone's feet. When this happened, heaven truly broke wide open, and people received healing in their souls and a revelation of Jesus who comes to serve us. While Soraya washed feet, we as a group ministered to the people through prayer and prophecy. Words of knowledge and prophecy flowed abundantly and God was mightily at work. Even though it was a small church with few people, the Spirit fell and God's anointing was strongly present. Tears flowed freely, and the 3.5 hours of worship and ministry flew by like a few minutes.
When we touched people's feet to pray over them from a kneeling position, the pastor refused and really did not want to accept it. Noël heard from God and said to the pastor: “I will stay here praying and lying at your feet until you learn to receive and are comfortable with it!” He learned to receive it and was powerfully touched. Then he became the most zealous of all in encouraging those who did not want to receive to do so, and washed people's feet with passion and devotion. There was also another man who absolutely did not want his feet washed and said: “If you do this, I will never come back.” Noël told the story from John 13:8: Peter saith unto him, "Thou shalt never wash my feet." Jesus answered him, "If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me." The man allowed it and was touched by God's Spirit.
There was also a woman with a visibly swollen throat. Karel prayed for her, the swelling went down and she was healed.
The evening service began with a testimony about addiction and a drama piece as an illustration. Karel brought a message about the demonstration of the Kingdom: Jesus came in power, healed many, set people free from demons and brought the message of repentance. There were three women whose legs were lengthened. The whole church could watch and was amazed at the miracle. Back pains disappeared and people could bend down fully again. A swollen foot went down and all the pain disappeared. Headaches went, and then we had the people do it themselves with one another. Everyone prayed fervently for each other, so fervently that it was not easy to get in between. The people learned how to do it: address the problem and tell it to go, and be brief and to the point. Do it from authority, not by pleading or asking. It went really well.
A woman who brings God to Hindus asked how she could bring deliverance to others and address the spirit of death. She was taught how to put on her armour every day, because it is war. We will visit her in the coming days to teach her further.
Karel and Noël prophesied over a young man: prophetic worship as with David, and a calling to mission and proclamation. He turned out to be musically trained, working in the music industry, and a third-generation pastor. Everything was very confirming and encouraging for him.
At the end we did a fire tunnel. Some were powerfully touched and caught by Marien, but to bless them even more he kept praying, and they walked around the church bent over backwards. It was a hilarious and at the same time beautiful sight! Deliverances, healings of body and soul and many other miracles took place. God was there to confirm the Kingdom of God in power, and Jesus was glorified. Afterwards meals and Bibles were also handed out.
Karel had the impression that he should speak about healing that evening. He later heard from the pastor of that church that people had been praying in recent months for a breakthrough in healing within the church. The pastor said this was an answer to those prayers, and that the practical teaching on how to minister healing really struck a chord and fitted God's plan.
