First day
Yesterday we arrived in India. We spent 12 hours on our second flight. There is a 3.5-hour time difference, so we arrived in Chennai at 1 pm Indian time. We were picked up by our interpreter's sister and were straight away given colourful Indian scarves. We went in 2 cars to the house of our interpreter's parents. On the way we soon found out that traffic in India works very differently from the Netherlands. Cars and tuk-tuks all drove in and out of each other, often passing with only 10 cm to spare. They do not use indicators either, but honk to let others know they are coming. We arrived at our interpreter's house.
