Sixth day

The morning began with intercession and worship. The restaurant was below the hotel, where we were served so lovingly. It is striking how incredibly friendly and humble people are in India. They take the lowest way and choose to position themselves as less. When you look them in the eyes, thank them sincerely and really see them, you see the appreciation in them and they begin to shine. After breakfast we took a boat to a church on the other side of the bay. There Marien first gave a prophecy and then taught about activating your spiritual senses. The pastors had beautiful stories about their encounter with Jesus and how they saw the throne room and the angels singing: holy, holy, holy. They found it very beautiful that God spoke to them, and they truly experienced the presence of God.

We were also able to give the pastors food parcels for their churches, enough to eat for three weeks. After this we were able to pray and prophesy over them, briefly but powerfully. The pastors asked Marien to help fund chairs for the church. The same goes for providing clean drinking water and toilets in the gypsy colonies. If you would like to contribute to these projects, you can make a gift to Stichting Dienstbaar via the 'donate' link on the website.

We ate up on the terrace, with some tasty hot peppers hidden as a present in the salad, which was delicious. The view from the terrace was stunning too, looking out over the mangrove lying like a bay.

After this we went to a national park for a while to see some nature and enjoy God's creation. It was a way to rest for a moment from all the impressions and emotions that do come up.

This evening a youth group was at the pastor's house. Laurine was able to share the word and spoke about the power of prophecy and how it has impacted her life. After her sermon she did an exercise, splitting everyone into groups of four and adding someone from the team to each. That way we could help these young people learn to hear God's voice and share it with others.

There was one group where things were a bit sticky and a girl could not get any further. The previous time she had got stuck too, blocking all emotions with high walls around her. Laurine told me I could prophesy over her to help her out of it. So I received that she had plans to take her own life and that God wanted to help her out of it. The girl began to cry, and so did her sister beside her. Jesus asked her to take His hand and gave her a hug through me. The evening before, she had asked God to wrap His wings around her, and she truly experienced this as the answer to her prayer. Her father had died, her brother slandered her and her mother was against her too, because the men call the shots. She had been dismissed from her job and was at her wits' end about how to go on living. After the prophecy she had completely perked up, and before she left she could laugh again and none of the walls could be seen any more.

Many others also experienced healing of the soul, and many young people were in tears. A young woman told us she had never experienced the Holy Spirit so strongly and that she thought of herself as worthless. We crowned her, honoured her and lifted her up, which touched her deeply. She too sat weeping at the feet of Jesus, and her feet were anointed, which she really did not want, but she could not resist God's love and gave in to it. People walked away radiant, and after that we were able to enjoy the joy of the Lord, while the giggles during dinner would not stop and started up again later in the evening. God's heart was so tangible and palpable, and He broke our hearts for the people of India! God loves India, and these Indians love God! Pray for even more outpourings of His love and power, so that people's lives may truly be changed by God's grace and deep compassion for the poor.
