Tuesday 6 June
This morning we went to the last day of our conference. The service began with a whole group of people coming out of the hall and starting to sing. When they noticed we were singing along with the song, they laughed at us delightedly. Then Lydia danced with a flag to the song "All Hail King Jesus". People watched open-mouthed. Next, as a team, we sang the song Yeshua at the front of the church. Following on from this, Marjan taught about the difference between fact and truth. An example from the Bible: people said Jairus' little daughter had died, but Jesus said, no, she is alive! Fact: she has died. Truth: Jesus said she lives, so she lives.
Chris followed with teaching about intimacy, identity and authority. Then Lydia taught about hearing God's voice and prophecy. After the teaching we divided the hall into groups and taught them to prophesy. Beautiful things came out of it. They learned that it is not only we who can pray, prophesy and so on, but that anyone who has the Spirit of God in them can.
People were set free from demons and learned to prophesy.
After the service we went home. In the evening we visited various people's homes. At each house we started by singing a song and let ourselves be led by what the Holy Spirit put on our hearts. At the first house there was a cow and a calf in the garden. Inside, the lady of the house had us sit on mats. We prayed for the people and cast out demons. At the next house we had beautiful conversations, prayed for the people and blessed the children. At the last house we visited, Benjamin felt it on his heart to wash feet. He had the sense that Jesus said we could do the same as He did. Just like Jesus, we could show that we do not come to show that we are special or to rule, but to serve. Just as Jesus went to the Father and the people would be led onwards by the Holy Spirit, so we go back to the Netherlands and teach them to be led by the Holy Spirit themselves.
As a team we washed the feet of the people in that house, prayed for them and prophesied over them. Some let us know they were not used to it, but we told them they too are worth being served, and encouraged them to serve one another as well.
