Evangelism

Pedro travels for hours on his moped through the mountains to evangelise, preach and visit new believers. He has fitted a converter to his moped so that it can serve as a generator for the sound system he lugs around with him.
Having arrived at Hipolito's in Santo Domingo, we rested a little and prepared for the last meeting. The music inside is so loud that everyone has to shout to talk. But from outside comes even more loud music from various houses, all mixed together, so that all you really hear is noise. Every now and then a car drives past with the bass turned up so loud that your chest vibrates even indoors. What a country: very busy and tiring. But I have come to love it, and I have taken these people, with their hospitality, into my heart.
