Saturday 10 June

This morning the pastor brought breakfast to the hotel: bananas, chickpeas and naan bread with egg. After breakfast we went to a family who live on a mountain. For the first time we saw a girl who had her paper Bible with her when we came to pray. We saw her hunger for God. We taught her to hear God's voice by having her picture the throne room of God and meet Jesus there. The girl was deeply touched and became emotional. Our team received several Bible verses for her, which she eagerly looked up in her Bible. After we had also blessed her mother and little sister, we walked back. Halfway we were picked up by tuk-tuks and went to the pastor's house. We visited the neighbours' house, which was full of children. We received words of knowledge and blessed the men, women and children. Chris received a word of knowledge that a particular man had a headache. It turned out to be true. After prayer the man's headache was gone!

After lunch we baptised four people, three of whom gave their lives to Jesus yesterday. This was very special. After the baptism a man we had baptised treated us to thin coconut pancakes. The mother we had baptised invited us to her home, where we were given cake, bananas and tea. We also celebrated Holy Communion there. After visiting this family we had dinner at the hotel. To close the day, part of our group went to a family to pray for them. There we prayed for a man's foot. He thought he would need an operation on it, but after prayer the pain in his foot disappeared.
