What an amazing day it was today. We went to the men's prison and to the teenage mothers, and in Barahona we evangelised and prayed for people among the poorest. See below for the full updates on the activities:
In the prison:
With the teenage mothers, Marjan shared something about the heart of a woman. Both man and woman reflect God. God made the man first, but creation was not yet complete, so He created the woman last of all, as the crown of creation. Marlon then shared a testimony about how she has struggled a lot with feeling valuable and precious, and how God set her free from dark thoughts and depressive feelings. Then we gave an invitation, because God had revealed to us beforehand that a number of the teenage mothers were severely depressed. Almost all of them came forward so that we could bless them and set them free in Jesus' mighty name.
Harm's testimony:
"During the meeting with the teenage mothers today I was hugely challenged to share a prophetic word. God gave me a revelation about a woman: that she had had a miscarriage. It affected me enormously; I really hoped it was not true, but then we went to check with her, and it was indeed true that she had had a miscarriage 2 years ago... That hit me hard. We then encouraged her, broke curses and spoke fruitfulness over her."

After that we were actually supposed to go to a church meeting, but it did not go ahead, so from the teenage mothers we went out onto the streets to share God's love! What an experience; the people were so open to our message. We were able to pray for the sick, and with his testimony of how Jesus set him free from a 17-year addiction to drugs and from drug dealing, Kevin led 21 men to the Lord, after which we baptised them in the Holy Spirit. We are going to baptise all of them tomorrow!
