Thursday 8 June
Today we went back to the pastor's house. After having breakfast there, we prayed for all the people in the house. We cast out demons, people were set free and they learned to hear God's voice. Then Benjamin talked with the man we prayed for yesterday (with the paralysed legs) about giving his life to Jesus. After this we were able to baptise him.
The taxi was waiting again and we went along. We drove high up into the mountains for a long while, without knowing where we would end up. In the end we came to a church. There we ate, danced, taught the children to prophesy, gave teaching and prayed for the people. At the start of the service Marien had a girl make a drawing of what God had put in her mind. After we had taught the children to hear God's voice, Marien asked the girl with the drawing what she had drawn. It turned out to be exactly what we had then done with the children. She could not have known that beforehand.. So this girl learned to hear the voice of God. She put it into practice straight away by prophesying over another woman, which was spot on.
The children loved having us there and taught us words in Tamil. During the service we prayed for a man who was paralysed down one side. After prayer for healing he recovered completely. He could move properly again and danced around. Nothing is impossible for God!
After the church service we set off again. We made a stop at a waterfall, where the men took a shower; we took some photos and moved on. We made several more stops at families, whom we prayed for and blessed. In between we followed the pastor, who led us along a steep jungle path. Every moment here is a surprise. In India you live by the hour, but in Sri Lanka it feels as if we live by the second. So much is happening. We stay flexible and adapt :). The end of the day drew near. We had dinner at the pastor's and went back to the hotel. Tomorrow another day full of blessings and breakthroughs!
